Making Money The Affiliate Way?
Author: Kelly Roy
You are about to learn what affiliate marketing is, how it works and how making money the affiliate way can be done by anyone. You can start your own online business with no out of pocket money on your part. After all putting money IN your pocket is the final goal, isn't it?
You can try starting an online business selling your own products, services or memberships but keep in mind that you'll need to have or create these products, services or memberships, storage space for them, deal with sales and customer service. Oh... let not forget the money and time to do all of this.
I will be explaining to you the following things in this article:
• What is affiliate marketing?
• How does it work?
• Who can become an Affiliate and start making money?
You will have and good understanding of what the Affiliate Marketing world is all about after you read through the next few chapters.
THE WHAT!
Affiliate Marketing is when you help to sell other established businesses products, services or memberships by the way of promoting. You will be the connection between the buyers and the sellers. When a sale is completed by the way of your referral through your promoting you earn a commission on that sale. Your job is to promote not to do the actual sale. The seller has the website with all of the sales information and the BUY NOW offer.
THE HOW!
Well as I said earlier you are the connection between the buyer and the sellers. The first thing to do is choice a product, service or membership. You can find them in many places like ClickBank which is where thousands of businesses place (I guess you can it an AD) of their product, service or membership. There they tell you about it, tell you what your commission will be and usually will help with sales tips. I myself have even contacted companies that carry products that I like and asked if they have an affiliate program. You would be surprised!
After you have decided. You will be given an affiliate link, which is a link that has your own Affiliate ID in it so when you promote the product and someone is interested in it they will use the affiliate link that you provided for them to use. This Affiliate ID allows the seller to identify how the commission will go to if a sale is made.
To get paid you will need to set up an account with PayPal or some other company that can receive or make payments for you. To do this you will need to provide a credit card. This is where the money will be placed when you start making money or money will be removed if you buy something online.
THE WHO!
If you have a computer, access to the internet and have a desire for making money. Then I think that you're just the right person. Anyone can start their own online business and work from home. You will need to do some research on these products, services or memberships to see what appeals to you and may appeal to the public.
There are several Affiliate programs with different paying structure. Membership programs usually will pay higher commissions depending on the membership levels that are sold and will pay residual monthly commissions on monthly fees on top of the initial membership purchase. So you can keep making money every month from one sale. The internet is at your finger tips. Start making money on your own time with Affiliate Marketing.
Kelly Roy is part of a Membership Affiliate Program which offers FREE memberships and has shown to be very successful for the thousands of people who have already given it a try. Read more about what a good Affiliate program will offer youCLICK HERE and see for yourself. You won't be disapointed!
Use the potential of the internet to your advantage.

Can You Make Money Blogging?
Blogging has become a very common form of online marketing. A blog or web log is an online diary that can be used for both pleasure and business. A lot of individuals now earn thousands of dollars each month just by writing blogs. Before you decide to quit your job, you have to learn a few details about blog writing. You should also know the right places to sell to and how you can enhance profit. Here are some guidelines to get you started.
First Steps
First, pick a blog. There are a lot of free hosted web logs online through a lot of sources that can aid you by providing the tools and resources so you can begin your own blog. You can register a domain name and begin your blog from virtually nothing if you are somewhat technologically savvy. Pick a niche. You should determine what you need to write about to draw visitors. Some individuals use the blog as a way to write their own opinions. Others like to blog about their personal experiences and the rest like to write about topics that they have expertise on.

Advertise yourself and write very good content in your own web site to establish reputation and credibility in your chosen industry.

SEO Tips for Beginners
Author: Helen Walker
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of building a site that is search engine friendly. I realize this is a very ambiguous definition and that is due in part to the ever-changing regulations and dynamic implementation of SEO on different types of websites. Web pages are optimized for search engines use clear, concise and relevant content that uses keywords that describe what your business does. This makes your website more appealing to the search engines because they understand your purpose with more clarity. SEO is always changing and it is a full-time job to keep up with the Google’s. For anyone who is just entering into the wonderful world of search engine optimization, the initial scope of it can be overwhelming. Here are some quick tips to help any SEO beginner hit the web running. 1. Do Your Research In order to create a search engine friendly site with SEO, you need to read as much as possible about it. There are tons of content online that will inform you with tips, expertise, and guidance about everything you need to know about SEO. You must also conduct keyword research in order to find the most relevant, competitive keywords to optimize your site with. This will be very important and we will touch on it later. 2. Choose the Correct Domain Name Every website should have a good name. Picking the right domain name that can easily be remembered and is relevant to your business is very important. You will want to try and use any keyword that you have chosen, if you can. It is also common to use your business or brand name. This is also recommended. 3. Optimize Your Keywords At this point, you should have chosen five relevant, highly competitive keywords for optimization of your site and all of its content. One of the most important factors of SEO is having an optimal keyword density, which is the amount of times a keywords shows up in text of your site or home page. Search engines use it to judge your relevance for that keyword when a user types it into search. Your keyword density should fall between 2 to 5 percent. If you use your keywords too often, then you can be penalized for keyword stuffing. The penalty could range from losing your links and rankings, to being banned from the Internet. 4. Link Building You can link building several different ways. Paid links are not recommended and you can be penalized severely. You can conduct link exchanges to your site, but you should focus on other sites that are very relevant and are quality, authoritative sites. Your rankings can go down if you link to very suspicious, spammy websites. The best way to build links is by providing relevant, linkable content, such as blogs, surveys, syndicated articles, or social networks. Implementation of SEO on your site doesn’t take an MIS degree, but it does take some time and effort. If you do it legally and correctly, you will be rewarded with a climb in the rankings, accompanied by the traffic and conversions you hoped would come when you were searching for this article. Good luck and let SEO be with you.

How to Make Money With Blogs - Making Money From Blogging
Author: Bruce Dillon
The 2 schools of thought that blogging for money can be broken down to
1) Using 1 blog and setting yourself up as an expert, an opinion former or leader in a particular area of expertise.
2) Creating multiple blogs in micro niches and simply ramping up your activities across a range of markets.
1) Opinion Former/leader/expert
To pursue this strategy you need to be an expert in some area of activity..or at least become one. To do this you will devote all your resources of time, energy and creativity in one area.
You will attempt to drive sufficient traffic to your blog because of your obvious expertise and your ability to provide useful content and information to your visitors.
You will seek to build a loyal following and to do this you will need to demonstrate expertise and credibility.
2) Multiple Blogs in Micro Niches
This strategy is the polar opposite in that you simply follow the crowd in a particular area, and plop yourself down in front of them and sell them affiliate products, advertising and so on.
This method does not require huge expertise or credibility..you are simply following the crowd and the money and hoping that if you can devise a method by which to make relatively small money you simply repeat the process on a larger scale.
You are spreading your efforts across a greater number of areas, not looking for a huge return, but because of the sheer scale of building out your blogs you will still show a decent return.
And you are spreading your risk..with the option of ramping up a particularly good niche if it outperforms others.

10 most important things not to do while link building for your website
Author: Michael
1. Don’t do too many submissions in directories.
While submitting your website to directories, be careful and don’t submit it to too many directories. In 2006 and 2007 Google has filtered many web directories manually to reduce the weigh on directories. Many of the directories out there today are not good and they are still operating as a link far. In real they are not going to deliver any real value to your website but it may harm your website as Google can see it as a bad neighbourhood.
Another reason for not to submit your website in too many directories is that Google can see this as a effect of SEO process and if they find out that you are trying to do optimization for your website Google might ban your website or de-index your website.
2. Don’t make too many links from no follow back links
When webmaster put no follow on your link, then you really get link back but original website will not pass any real rank juice or authority to your website. So it’s equal to 0. Still you get a link but with no real value to your website. It might bring some traffic to your website but in terms of ranking or Google page rank increase it will not serve any value at all.
3. Don’t use same title and description while submitting in directory
When you submit your website to many directories, try to use different title and description every time. When you use same title and description, it will create duplicate content and when spider find that your website is linked from many website with same description and title it looks like automated submission. So even if you do manual submission it will result in automated submission and finally you will get your self banned from Google and other search engines.
4. Don’t use same anchor text in all link building.
When you start link building, plan your keywords carefully. And don’t do link building for only 1 keyword as it might create problem later on. Search engine have particular thrash hold for particular keyword or anchor limit. When your back link anchor text reach at that limit or cross that limit Google will remove your from top ranking and put you far behind in search result. So be careful and not to put too much weight on only one keyword.
5. Don’t link to a website which Google cache is older then 2 months
By saying this I mean, don’t link to such a website because Google spider is not coming on this website too often. As you can see that Google has got cache 2 months older that means this website is not updating regularly or there is no good contents or Google has banned this website. Or something is wrong with this website in eyes of search engine. So better not to link to these websites.
6. Don’t submit you press release or article to website which is banned by Google
After 2000 .com fall and when internet once again picked up, there were many websites came up for articles submissions and press release submissions. They claim that they will release your press release to many famous news and article directories and relevant users, but they failed to do so or they did it in such a way that they got banned by Google. Google has reduce weight on those websites so if you submit your PR or articles on these websites and if you get link back from those website Google will see you website as linking to cheap website or cheap resources and you might get hurt by Google spider.
7. Don’t use any automatic submission tools
There are many automatic submission tools available in market now a days. They claim that they are not going to hurt your website and they can dodge search engines and make a submission like a human being. But they forget that machine is machine and human is human. By dong automatic submission you might not get hurt initially and you might get away but when Google or other search engines find out about these automatic submission you might get your self banned. So avoid automatic submission tools and try to invest little bit of time everyday in building natural links. In that way you can make sure that your website will not get hurt.
8. Don’t try to get a link from website which is linking to too many website from different topics
Try to stay on your theme or topic. If you are trying to link to website which is linking to what ever site they came across, then you might get into trouble. As they are not trying to create useful resource for you. They are trying to increase link. So be careful while linking to other websites.
Find out whom they are linking to, what their PR is and how good they can be for your business and then link to them if they are going to deliver you any real value.
9. Don’t link to link farm
Link farm are just website which contain 1000 of useless links or doing too much reciprocal links or out going links and they don’t deliver any real value to anyone. So be careful and try not to link to these link farms websites. If you get your self into these link farms, you might get your self out of Google index database and hurt your PR or ranking as well.
10. Don’t buy link from website who is just selling links.
Don’t buy links by paying money. Those people are just selling links to many people. If they loose their rank tomorrow then you will be loosing money and also there would be bad mark on your website as they are still linking to you. So avoid buying links from those people who are just selling links.

College registration for Fall Term
I have finalized my schedule for my fall term classes. Plan to take more history for fun, more math to fulfill requirements and an English Lit class for my Bac core class requirements. Also have plans to do an independent study series in History. Full load, how to deal with this? One of the best classes that I could have ever taken first term back as a Non Traditional Student was "College Skills" CG111. I wholeheartedly recommend any form of this class for a non trad. This course teaches you how to study, take notes and take tests. I'm sure that most institutions have some course like this. One of the key points learned was what type of learner you are...visual, auditory or Kinetic (hands on...) Tayloring your note taking and study habits to one of these three types is essential to your success.
Although this summer term.....I should practice what I preach....just like my father always said....
Dont do as I do, Do as I say!!
I'm putting together a post on the Cornell Note Taking System. I find that this one really helps with orgaization and further study of your class notes.

Redfokker's journey to college funding...
About Me
- MIKE DICIANNA
- Albany, Oregon, United States
- My screen name of Redfokker comes from my interest in World War One Aviation. I am a History Major at Oregon State University. My main focus of interest is early aviation and I hope to write a book in the next couple of years about my favorite WWI ace, Ernst Udet. (He flew Fokker airplanes that were painted red...hence the screen name) My other interests include Model Railroading (N Scale), Breeding tropical fish and Bonsai trees.
